** At Ruhr University Bochum all students have to pay the semester contribution fee, about EUR 350,- per semester. This fee includes free use of public transport in the state of North-Rhine Westphalia, and reduced prices for food and beverages in the cafeterias (Mensa) and canteens.

Students are also encouraged to look at the programmes of our institution-wide partners, which may provide additional choice of location, (English) language and modules. E.g.:

  • Uni Graz has a search facillity for English taught modules and allows co-registration with- and modules from the Graz University of Technology (which supports degrees in Biosciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics).

Institution-wide Agreements

The University also has a number of institution-wide agreements. Before applying, students must check on the partners' websites that they offer suitable modules / courses for their Durham degree subject.
