Coimbra Group Free EURail Ticket Competition and Discounted Tickets

Please note, only Durham students currently on an Erasmus+ year abroad are eligible for the competition and discounted ticket offer.

To promote sustainable travel in Europe, Durham is one of 28 Coimbra Group university partners that have teamed up to negotiate a 20% discount on their “10 days within 2 months Interrail mobile Global Pass”. You can use this to travel by train to and/or from your placement, as well as use it to explore your host country (and beyond!).

We have one free ‘10 days within 2 months Interrail mobile Global Pass’ worth over €250 to offer to a Durham student currently abroad with Erasmus+. To enter students must submit three suggestions of how to make a Year Abroad more sustainable. To enter the competition please use the following link: click here. The deadline for submissions is 3rd November 2021 12:00 (noon). *Terms and conditions apply (see below). Students may wish to visit the UN Sustainable Development Goals for inspiration.

We are running the competition in advance of the next window for purchasing discounted passes (so that unsuccessful entrants can purchase a pass if they wish).  Passes can be purchased online on the dedicated landing page www.interrail.eu/en/coimbra-group between 5th and 18th November 2021. If purchasing a Pass, you must use your Durham University email address. Please note, this page will be live only between 5th and 18th November 2021. If you try to reach the page out of this booking window, a 404-error will appear.
