Postgraduate students in Durham normally do not have to teach during their research, although this may depend on their funding requirements (e.g. Durham Doctoral Teaching Fellowship (DDTF) students are required to teach, as described by that studentship) and visa-related restrictions. PGR students, however, may wish to do so, as a further expansion of their skill set. All PGR students have the possibility to teach or be involved in teaching, as well as have access to training towards being able to teach at university level.
