The Durham University Addison Wheeler Fellowships are designed to provide early career researchers of outstanding promise with three years to pursue original ideas, free from teaching and administrative responsibilities. 

Starting salaries will be in the range £33,797– £40,322 p.a. There are no residency or nationality restrictions. 

SGIA is happy to host potential fellows and SGIA academic staff will be keen to act as their mentors. Interested candidates are welcome to approach members of our school discuss mentoring arrangements. The mentor and the school research directors will help candidates to refine their research proposal and ensure that the appropriate facilities for the conduct of the research project are available in the University.
