On 18 October 2022, Shadow Home Office Minister Holly Lynch MP raised a point of order to thank Durham Law School’s Professor Thom Brooks, Chair in Law and Government, for his “invaluable assistance”. Professor Brooks is a Labour Party advisor on home affairs and justice who has worked on the Bill since its first reading in the House of Commons.
