Industrial Partnership Committee (IPC)
Our Industrial Partnership Committee (IPC) serves as a dynamic community of industry partners across various sectors, aimed at fostering impactful collaborations between the academic and business worlds.
The IPC helps ensure that our research remains relevant to industry needs, and that our students benefit from real-world experiences through engagement with industry leaders. We welcome participation from both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large organisations with significant engineering activities.
Benefits of IPC Membership:
- Access to Cutting-Edge Research: Stay updated on the latest research and innovation projects within the department.
- Student Engagement: Work with our students on Capstone projects, design briefs, and mentoring opportunities.
- Networking and Collaboration: Attend IPC meetings and events where you can network with industry peers and academic experts.
- Funding and Research Opportunities: Receive updates on available funding calls and opportunities for collaborative research.
IPC Membership:
Our members join for a variety of reasons depending on their needs, but membership is not compulsory for collaboration.
The IPC holds 2-3 meetings per year, in person and online. It is free to become a member, but we’re keen for our partners to engage with meetings where possible. We can also arrange catch up sessions between meetings to stay in touch.
To learn more or to become a member, contact Dr David Ross-Pinnock, our Industrial Liaison Officer, at david.r.ross-pinnock@durham.ac.uk .
