PhD student received awards at UK Metamaterials Network Summer School

Two of our PGR Engineering students, Amir Ghasemi and Rui Fang, have received the first- and second-best poster prizes from the UK Metamaterials Network, respectively.
Flexible and Electromagnetic Metamaterials was a summer school for PhD students, postdocs, and early career researchers organized by the UKMMN. This 5-day event (15th-19th August) was held at the University of St. Andrews.
Rui Fang (second from the left) and Amir Ghasemi (fourth from the left) are doing their PhD projects under the supervision of Dr. Mehdi Keshavarz Hedayati and Prof. Dagou Zeze. Their PhD projects concern design and development of the next generation of active metamaterials.
