L1 student Charlotte Margetson awarded QUEST scholarship
Congratulations to Charlotte who was recently awarded the QUEST scholarship and attended the celebration at ICE’s historic HQ in London.
Charlotte was recently invited to a celebration of QUEST and scholars launch event at ICE’s historic HQ in London.
"This was a really interesting and informative amazing event which gave me the chance to network and meet other scholars in the same position as me, and hear from graduates already having gone through the programme. During the day, we participated in a number of round table discussions about the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, including the obstacles faced by them, and any ideas we had that could make a change. It was a great chance to share our views on this important topic and to discuss how engineering could help find solutions."
This scholarship involves Charlotte undertaking 8 weeks work placement with WSP throughout summers at university, writing an annual report to the Institute of Civil Engineering (ICE) and helping with regional activities to promote civil engineering and the scholarship, with the aim of becoming a graduate employee at WSP after my time at university.
