Congratulations to Professor David Toll who has been elected as a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales. The Learned Society of Wales has 595 distinguished Fellows elected from all branches of learning and who are prominent figures within their respective disciplines & professions.

Engineering alumni crowdfund over £1m to launch the UK’s first green debit card

Two of our graduates Peter Kirby (Engineering, University College, 2011-15) and William Smith (Engineering, University College, 2011-15) have been working with colleagues at Durham to launch Tred, the UK’s first and only green debit card that helps users spend more sustainably.

New Master of Energy Systems Management

We’re pleased to announce we have launched a new Master of Energy Systems Management (MESM) programme today, starting in September 2022. The one year full-time programme, will be taught by the Department of Engineering and the Business School, in partnership with the Durham Energy Institute. We plan to introduce a part-time online and blended option for the following academic year.
