Reacting to the Covid-19 pandemic is our priority and we will do everything we can to support TEIs and students. The University recognises that teaching and learning have been profoundly affected by Covid-19 and that every effort has been made to enable students to successfully complete their modules and degree programmes. Staff have shown tremendous creativity and dedication. Students have responded in kind, investing time and energy in their studies. We know that this has not always been easy. Some have struggled with internet access and learning resources. Others have had to balance work and caring responsibilities. All have had to cope with the mental and physical stress caused by the pandemic. We are conscious that the uncertainty which we face surrounding Covid-19 remains and may do for some time. We anticipate that the impact of Covid-19 will be long lasting and we will need to continuously review our practice as we approach different activities throughout the academic year. Reacting to this fast changing situation has become the priority for the team and we will do everything we can to support TEIs and students.
The information set out in the advice and guidance in the right sidebar and below - in the form of FAQs - outlines the options available TEIs in light of the University’s response to Covid-19. We would encourage you to review this resource before contacting the team. Where appropriate, responses to questions we receive from TEIs will be shared in these FAQs. Please check the FAQs as frequently as you are able. All communications, updates and changes regarding Covid-19 will be communicated on this FAQ section and through emails to TEI Key Contacts and Principals.
We will continue to be flexible and innovative to respond to challenges as they arise where we are able. We ask that you please bear with us as we may have to adapt our approach to respond to events as they unfold. We will communicate these changes as clearly and quickly as we can. While we need to ensure that the Common Awards response to Covid-19 is in alignment with the University’s response, we are also very aware of the need to take into account the additional intricacies of TEIs. This may mean that decisions take slightly longer as we liaise closely with colleagues in the National Ministry Team and consider the implications for TEIs.
Please note that the FAQs include information relating to the 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 academic years. Please ensure that you are referring to the correct information. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
