Buddhism

The University has a small but diverse community of Buddhist students and staff from a range of different traditions. We have a student-led Buddhist Society and a Buddhist Chaplain. There’s also a Buddhist meditation group in Durham co-led by students: Sacred Earth Sangha (Plum Village/Thich Nhat Hanh tradition). For more information about this group, please email chaplaincy@durham.ac.uk.

There are a number of Buddhist groups in the region. These include centres in Newcastle, Sunderland and Northumberland.
