I want to wish a huge congratulations to everyone who is joining us at Cuth's this year! My name is Thea Cave and I am the President of the Society at St Cuthbert's Society JCR. It is my job to represent you, and all students at Cuth's. The JCR is a charity run by student volunteers that represents the interests and activities of all students. The JCR oversees everything that is part of your wider student experience, including sports, societies, events, and committees. It is truly the beating heart of our community, and I would really encourage you to get involved. If you have any questions about life at Cuth's or getting involved, feel free to contact me at president@cuths.com. I will also be living on site in House 8, so you're more than welcome to find me for a chat when you arrive in September. For those of you who are joining Cuth’s this year, massive congratulations and welcome to St. Cuthbert Society, and any of you who are returning, welcome back! I’m Sarah McAllister, and I am currently the Postgraduate Vice-President and acting Postgraduate and Mature Students’ President. This means that I work to coordinate events aimed at Postgrads and Mature students' in Cuth's as well as representing the views of these students in the JCR, College and wider University.
