Elizabeth Pease and her connection to Darlington.
Local artist Philip Gatenby brings People, Place & Living Memory to the Darlington Crown Street Gallery, featuring the installation: Grey Ladies commissioned for the Summer Exhibition Radical Non-Resistance and the Art of Transgression. Josephine Butler, the person, continues to influence the values and aspirations of the College Community to this day. A new soundscape featuring current staff, students, and supporters captures the essence and the legacy of Josephine and will feature alongside the Grey Ladies. The Exhibition will take place from 31st January – 25th March 2024.
