Guy Beresford Scholarship
Hatfield College is offering the Guy Beresford Scholarship of £15,000 for a full-time student from the North East of England and from a lower income household, to study full-time for a STEM taught masters degree at Durham University, for the year 2025-26.
Applications are now open and will close on May 31 at 23:59.

Applicants who fit the eligibility criteria, including current Durham students, are welcome to apply.
Eligibility
- Have been from a lower income household in the final year of their undergraduate degree, University. This will be tested through evidence of the assessment by Student Finance England of income data made available to the awardee’s University in the final year of their undergraduate studies, or, in the absence of evidence of a recent such assessment, by other relevant means as defined by the University.
- Be from the North East of England. North-East students, eligible home postcode regions: CA, DH, DL, NE, SR or TS.
- Be accepted onto a taught masters course in a STEM subject at Durham University for academic year 2025-26. Eligible courses are those based in a Department within the Science Faculty, plus the Master of Science programmes offered by the Department of Archaeology: Bioarchaeology, Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology and Human Bioarchaeology and Palaeopathology.
