Meet some members of our student caller team

	My name is Shoaib and I’m a second-year undergraduate studying Biological Sciences. I am at University College (Castle) and have enjoyed every moment of my time at Durham so far. I’m a hiking enthusiast and playing the clarinet is one of my passions. Aside from this, my main aim is to delve into the subject area of plant physiology and genetics within my future career aspirations.
	Hello! My name is Liv and I am an MJur student (Law) from St. John’s College. This is my fourth year at Durham, as I completed my undergraduate studies here in LLB Law last summer. After receiving a scholarship towards my MJur studies, I am excited to support this campaign to help pave the way for future students like myself!
	Hi! My name is Ian, and I am currently in my fourth year, studying Chemistry and Physics in Natural Science. I am part of John Snow College, and in my spare time I love to go running in and around Durham. This is the second year that I have been a student caller for this campaign, and I am really grateful to be able to speak with lots of Durham alumni again this year!
	Hi, I’m Ellena, a second-year student studying Climate Science at University College (Castle), I aspire to pursue a career in renewable energy and sustainability. I’m originally from Malaysia and some of my hobbies include ballet, piano and scuba diving. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with alumni to raise funds for the future student body so that they can experience the incredible opportunities Durham University has to offer.
	Hello! My name is Joelle and I have been at Durham for over 5 years now. I first came for a Master's and stayed for the PhD which I am writing up and hope to complete this Spring! I have very much enjoyed living in Durham, because of the history, stunning architecture, peaceful nature walks, and kind people. I have been on the call team for three years now and have loved the chance to talk to fellow alumni about what makes Durham so special and what their time at Durham meant for them while also raising money to enable future students to benefit from all Durham has to offer. 	Hi! I’m Emily, a fourth-year Biological Sciences student at Hild Bede returning for my final year after a year out coaching cricket in Argentina. I love all things sports, the great outdoors, and good food! I learned to speak Spanish last year, and I hope to use this skill alongside my Biology degree in the future to work on conservation-education projects in both England, South America, and maybe even further afield! As someone who received some financial support for my volunteering project last year, I’m looking forward to speaking to alumni who might be able to help future Durham students take part in amazing experiences like the one I was fortunate to be a part of last year.
	Hi, my name is Tade and I am a first-year English Literature at St Aidan's College. My choice of course was due to my love of Ovid. I am the first member of my family to attend university (the first one to undertake A levels in fact) and I am the recipient of an alumni-funded scholarship.
