The Destructive Leadership Process with a Gender Perspective

Abstract

Mats Reinhold’s research examines destructive leadership within the Swedish workforce. He explores the antecedents to better understand the factors that give rise to destructive leadership, as well as the outcomes for followers, with a particular focus on the role gender plays in these dynamics. This dissertation is transdisciplinary, integrating theoretical perspectives from both leadership studies and gender studies to investigate the destructive leadership process.

This research is part of the project “When It Breaks: Causes and Prevalence of Destructive Leadership in Swedish Working Life (In Swedish: "När det brister: orsaker till och förekomst av destruktivt ledarskap i svenskt arbetsliv."). 

About the speaker

Mats is doing his PhD education at the Department of Psychology, Umeå University, and he is also affiliated with The Gender Research School at Umeå University.
