Lantern Festival

Join us for a late night opening at the Oriental Museum to mark the Lunar New Year. Try fantastic Year of the Snake crafts, sample delicious New Year snacks, listen to stories, music and more. 

This year visitors can enjoy a wonderful Lion Dance performance.

Parking and Access Information

Free Disabled Parking will be available in Teikyo University carpark, adjacent to the Oriental Museum.

Other free event parking is available in the University's Elvet Hill carpark. We have agreed with the university that visitors to the event will be able to use this carpark for the evening.

Lunar New Year Lantern Festival is an exciting celebration. There will be flashing lights, loud music and our galleries will be very busy.
