Join this year’s Museum of Archaeology's MA Museum and Artefact students as they explore some of the interesting objects from their exhibition Under Durham: The untold stories, and how they discovered and researched the stories behind them.

Join the students to explore the fascinating objects featured in the exhibition, such as the hidden message in the bottle found near Divinity House on Palace Green and the Miner's Gala Belt fitting that found its way into the River Wear. Discover the untold stories of Durham's history and learn about the triumphs and challenges of curating this unique collection.

This talk is part of the Thursday Twilight Openings at Palace Green Library. Find out more about the museums and the collections from across Durham University, including Archive and Special Collections, Art Collection, Cosin's Library, Durham Castle Museum, Museum of Archaeology and Oriental Museum.  

World Heritage Visitor Centre and the Museum of Archaeology are also open until 7pm during the Twilight Openings.
