Prick and stitch garland by artist Sarah Dodds

Join us for a creative workshop led by artist Sarah Dodds of Interface Arts.

Paper embroidery has been popular since Victorian times when perforated paper became available for stitching. Today's prick and stitch technique takes reference from string art popular in the 1960s and 1970s with thread being woven backwards and forwards across the card.

In this workshop you will prepare and stitch a Christmas card (either a Christmas tree or holly wreath) or flower bookmark using metallic thread.

All materials will be provided.  No experience necessary.
