Historic Views of Durham
4 February 2012 – 7 October 2012
Palace Green Library
Writing in the 1950s, the renowned architectural historian, Nikolaus Pevsner described Durham as "one of the great experiences of Europe to the eyes of those who appreciate architecture".
This exhibition brought together a series of historic views of the city to celebrate Palace Green’s 25 years as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The exhibition combined paintings, prints and photographs from the University collections, showing a changing city over 300 years.
