A platform for visual arts across Durham City, taking place in our museums, public spaces and community spaces. Summer in the City was launched in 2019. Running entirely online during 2020 and 2021 it returned as a live festival in 2022. Each year the programme comprises of exhibitions, talks, workshops and activities for all ages, featuring international, national and regional artists. Find out more about previous festivals.
