Vicki leads the Accreditations, Performance and Governance team which provides School-wide support for external accreditations, quality assurance, rankings and other activities to support the School’s Education Strategy and wider strategic objectives; supports the development and delivery of IT projects and the continuous improvement of business processes; and engages with our global network of alumni and key external stakeholders including Professors in Practice and International Advisory Board.
As Senior Manager, Accreditations and Governance, Vicki’s own role is focused around quality assurance, accreditation, education policy and regulations, and advising on matters relating to the overall governance of the School and the operation of its committees. She provides high-level support to the Deputy Executive Dean (Education) and is a member of the Faculty Executive Team and Faculty Education Committee.
Vicki began her working life as a researcher in the field of library and information management, but soon decided that she wished to pursue a career in academic administration instead. She worked for several years in a variety of roles within the central administration at Durham before moving to the Business School, where she is now able to draw on many years of experience.
