Consultancy Services

Since its founding in 1989, IBRU has paired its research and training arms with an active consulting programme.

In providing consulting services, IBRU draws on the resources of a broad range of scholars at Durham University as well as our ongoing partnership with Bordermap, headed by former IBRU Director of Research, Professor Martin Pratt.

Among the services that IBRU provides are:

• Archival research and cartographic support for private enterprises seeking to verify boundary location
• Technical support for governments entering into boundary negotiation or litigation
• Consulting services to publishing firms and data providers seeking to verify location and representation of boundaries
• Assistance to non-governmental organisations working to build collaboration across borders
