  • In this publication we have uncovered the mechanism by which plant cells "decode" information received during plant immunity responses via specific calcium signatures. This work explains how pathogenic signals can be encrypted within a "cellular language" which can be decoded by the nucleus to bring about the correct gene expression responses to mount a successful resistance response.
