Front aspect of the Bill Bryson Library building

Replacement works will be carried out on the PA system in Bill Bryson Library from Tuesday 21 March to Friday 24 March. The works will take place overnight, starting from 5pm and finishing by 7.30am each day.

What you can expect

  • There will be some noise and movement disturbances
  • At different points during the maintenance works, you will find various areas of the Library are not available for access - this will limit study spaces available
  • Some study areas may be closed or have restricted access for up to two days (bookshelves will remain accessible)
  • The main entrance will be in operation throughout, but you may find not all doors are in use.

What we are doing to support you

  • We will keep you informed as to what is happening and if any areas of the library have restricted access on our display opposite the Help and Information Desk
  • Our Space Booking system will continue to be available - you can book your study space before you visit us to guarantee you have seat and know where it is
  • If you need any support while in the building, simply visit our Help and Information Desk and a member of our staff will be able to help you.
