MSc Accounting
Suggested pre-programme reading
Offer-holders sometimes ask if they can do any preparation before joining the course. This typically means any suggested pre-reading that you could do to bring yourselves reasonably up to speed on a topic, especially if you are taking the programme as a ‘conversion’ course where you may not have studied business before.
As preparation for the first term students might consider reading some foundation texts covering financial accounting, management accounting and corporate governance. Publisher's websites are included below for information purposes. You may choose to purchase a copy elsewhere, but we recommend obtaining a more recent version if possible.
You could choose to read one of the following texts:
- Bhimani, A; Horngren, C T; Datar, S M; Rajan, M V. (2015). Management and Cost Accounting. Pearson Education
