Biography

Ian joined Durham University Business School in 2000 and is Deputy Head of the Department of Finance. He also has a leadership role in executive education and is Programme Director of the Senior Leader Apprenticeship and of the Nissan ‘Launch’ Programme. Ian’s teaching expertise is in the areas of Behavioural Finance, Corporate Finance and Financial Derivatives.

Ian’s main scholarship interests are in experiential learning, teaching and learning with international students and transitions into, through and from higher education. His research interests focus on investor sentiment in equity and derivative markets.

Ian currently teaches Behavioural Finance, Financial Derivatives and Financial Engineering, and Financial Markets and Institutions. Ian is active in scholarship.
