Hui Gao joined Durham University Business School as an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Finance in 2020. Prior to joining Durham, she held a position as Teaching Fellow in Mathematics and Data Analysis in the Department of Economics at the University of Bath.
Hui Gao gained her PhD in Finance from the Accounting and Finance Group, School of Management at the University of Bath. Her main research interests include systemic risk and financial stability, financial intermediaries, behavioural finance, and fintech. Her working papers were presented at both regional and internal conferences. In addition, Hui is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
