Grant joined Durham University Business School in 2022, having completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh in 2021. He also holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.
His research interests include the practices of entrepreneurship and strategy. His PhD thesis addressed everyday practices of Scotland’s largest technology incubator, including sociomateriality perspectives on social class, space and symbols.
Grant has teaching experience in Strategic Management and is currently leader for the School’s MSc module in Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneurial Process.
Prior to his PhD, he worked in sales and marketing for a small family business, and he has also worked for a digital startup in the games industry. Grant started his career as an Army officer.
