As this week is National Careers Week 2022, we wanted to share with you a range of recent IMPACT articles showcasing some of the ways we support students to succeed in their careers.

Supporting careers in business

Career development is an important subject for the School and as you'd expect from a global triple-accreditated business school we have a range of activity that this week we would like share with you. Many of these have been documented in the School's magazine IMPACT with articles showcasing:

  • some of the ways we support students to succeed in their careers
  • the different careers and avenues a Business School student may be interested in
  • what some of our alumni are doing now.  

Whatever your career focus, you’ll find our careers team is one of the most useful resources to support you on your way to achieving your aim. The School works in partnership with the University's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Centre to connect you with events, organisations or individuals to help kick-start your career. In the latest issue of IMPACT magazine, we featured the following stories which illustrate this:

Recruitment bootcamp

To better equip Durham students for the complexities of the recruitment process, Alex McNinch and her colleagues came up with a unique solution: a popular five-day bootcamp, which tackled everything from CVs and psychometric testing to assessment centres and Zoom interviews.
