Whether you’re interested in Taught or Research Master's, or even PhD, you can join us to connect with experts from across the institution and find out where a postgraduate degree can take you. Discover why Durham could be your next academic destination and learn more about the application process.

Our online event will be held 10-11 February and you can join live sessions covering how to apply, our collegiate system, funding and careers, as well as giving you a chance to speak to current PG students studying with us in student led Q&As.

Why a Business Qualification?

Most of the Business School's masters qualifications are conversion programmes. Meaning you don't have to have studied business to apply. Add a business qualification from a triple-accredited business school to your first degree and improve your career prospects.

Sessions include:

  • Why Durham?
    • Do you want to find out what Durham is really like? Why not find out from the experts themselves? This session will be led by one of our knowledgeable Student Recruitment Team who will tell you more about our University and what we can offer our students. They will be joined by a panel of student ambassadors who will talk about their postgraduate experiences.
  • Colleges Explained for Postgraduates
    • Our colleges are at the heart of life at Durham. From day-to-day activities to special events, there are so many ways to make friends and have fun, while increasing your skills and experience. We have invited our Accommodation and Allocations Team to speak to you in more detail about our colleges and explain what it means to have college membership.
  • Understanding Postgraduate Funding
    • Completing a postgraduate qualification at Durham University requires commitment to your studies right from the start. We recommend budgeting for student life well in advance to make sure that funding issues are not a barrier to you getting the best out of your experience. During this session, Raj Singh, from our Funding Team, will guide you through the costs and funding options for postgraduate study. Please note, this session is primarily aimed at students from the UK, although all students may find some of the advice on budgeting helpful.
  • Postgraduate Careers
    • Our careers experts will be on hand to help you understand where your postgraduate degree can take you following the completion of your chosen course. It doesn't matter if you have no idea about the direction you want to go in, or have a specific career in mind already, during this session we will be able to provide you with lots of useful information and advice.
  • Applying to Durham for PGT and PGR
    • Do you need some help with completing your application or maybe you're wondering where to start? Join our Postgraduate Admissions Team, as they take you through the application process and provide useful guidance about how to apply for a postgraduate course at Durham.
