YEEES 34: Durham 2024

The seminar gives Ph.D. students the opportunity to present their working papers and receive feedback from their peers and senior reviewers in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.

For each paper, two reviewers will be selected before the seminar: one senior researcher and one of the participating Ph.D. students. This means every participant will present his or her work and review another Ph.D. student’s work. Senior reviewers will come both from industry and academia and the review assignments will be made according to the areas of expertise of both senior and Ph.D. reviewers. For the presentation of each paper, we plan to offer 20 minutes. Then, each reviewer will have around 5-10 minutes to present her critical review and give constructive comments. This is followed by questions and remarks from the audience.

  • Authors are requested to register and send their abstracts by July 12. Please limit the abstract to 2000 characters.
  • By July 19, authors will be notified of their acceptance (seats are limited).
  • Full papers (consistent finished or draft version) must be handed in by August 23. Please limit the paper to 20 pages (excluding the appendix), single space, 10-point font.
  • Papers are sorted by the organizers and distributed to two peer reviewers. We do not publish papers. Junior reviewers have to submit their feedback by September 9.
  • People wishing to attend without presenting a paper can do so (if there are seats left) by registering until September 9.
