Following an inspiring discussion led by Prof Sridhar Tayur on how OR can help us decide what to do first after a major disaster, and further discussions with HORAF, under my hat as Chair of COPIOR (Committee of Professors in OR in UK www.copior.org ) active bystanders and gatekeepers of the OR discipline in UK, we decided to help those affected by the earthquake in Turkey-Syria. Thus, we organise a mini conference on the 9th of Sep 2023 online.

Keynotes will be provided by Sridhar Tayur, Sridhar Seshadri, Emel Aktas, Nezih Altay, Dilek Onkal with an opening from COPIOR Chair and closing from the HORAF Chair. 

ALL proceeds go to Turkey-Syria earthquake appeal | British Red Cross (or another charity of your preference); Registration fee to your discretion: (suggested) £100 Keynotes, £50 Posters/paper (£20 Posters/Paper in Absentia).

For transparency participants will donate directly to the charities and proof of donation will be the registration.
