Biography
In my research and teaching, I explore the relationship between atheism, theology, medicine, and science in the early modern world. My current project is entitled, 'The Anatomy of Atheism in the Atlantic World, c. 1600-1800'. I am also preparing a monograph, based upon my doctoral thesis, focusing on the Protestant concept of the ‘heathen’ in early modern Britain and the Americas.
