Jan Clarke appeared on BBC Radio 4's much loved history programme In Our Time this week, to discuss the French playwright Molière (1622-1673), best known for Tartuffe, Le Misanthrope and Le Malade Imaginaire. The show is hosted by Melvyn Bragg and also featured, for this episode, Noel Peacock and Joe Harris.
Jan is an expert in seventeenth and eighteenth-century theatre history, theatre architecture, stage design and theatre machinery, and theatre company administration.
