Durham Alumni Win University Challenge Christmas Special

Durham alumni team, led by Engineering alumna Carla Denyer (Mechanical Engineering, St Chad’s College, 2005-2009), triumphed in the University Challenge Christmas special. Carla, now co-leader of the Green Party and MP for Bristol Central, guided the team to victory after a series of impressive performances, including a close win in the final against Queens' College, Cambridge. The final score was 125-120, with Tracey MacLeod securing the winning answer. The team's diverse expertise, spanning politics, history, and media, helped them overcome strong opponents like Worcester College, Oxford, in the semi-finals.
