Abstract
This seminar will discuss the recent book release "How to Use Generative AI in Educational Research" by Jasper Roe, released through the Cambridge Elements in Research Methods Education series.
Biography
Jasper is an Assistant Professor in Digital Literacies and Pedagogies at Durham University. Previously, he held senior leadership roles in pre-university and foundation programmes at both British University Vietnam and James Cook University Singapore. Initially trained in corpus-linguistics and 'big data' approaches to textual analysis, his expertise lies in language-oriented technologies (now including AI models such as ChatGPT) and their social, ethical, and practical applications in education.
