There are lots of ways to volunteer as an alumni and we are always so grateful for the time and effort that you give.  

Below are some of the current opportunities available to alumni.

Volunteers needed for online PG offer sessions July-Aug 2024 

Would you like to share your experiences of postgraduate study at Durham with prospective students? We are looking for alumni to attend online Offer Holder events during July and August.

By sharing your experiences of studying at Durham you will be provided with the satisfaction that you are contributing to the future success of the University.

You will enhance existing skills and gain many transferrable skills such as practicing your communication, presenting and networking skills. You will meet new people, build your connections and stay connected to Durham. Leadership Academy mentors

The Durham University Leadership Academy helps current students become the new leaders of tomorrow. We are looking for alumni mentors who have a genuine interest in supporting and developing our students to enhance their leadership qualities for the 2024/25 intake.

TechUp programme mentors

Based in the UK and working in the tech industry or in a tech related role? We would love to hear from you! The Durham University TechUp programme is looking for alumni to mentor women and non binary people based in the North East who are looking to develop a career in Tech.

Volunteering at Summer Congregation

We're looking forward to celebrating with our graduates at Summer Congregation this summer and would like to invite alumni to volunteer with us between Wednesday 26 June and Wednesday 3 July 2024 (10am-2pm). 

We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic Durham alumni to volunteer to be part of the team on the alumni stand, to congratulate the graduates on their achievements and welcome them to the alumni network.
